What is the difference between the JDM Honda K20 Type R and the USA K20 Type S?

the models im reffering to is the RSX or DC5.what u wana no is whats the difference between the JDM Honda K20 Type R and the USA K20 Type S engines.



i wana convert a rsx type s into a type r in the USA.

Hey man, there's been alot floating around about converting your USDM to JDM. Basically, the main difference is our engines (K20A2) are like the toned down versions. In Japan, they got K20Z (I think) which pump out 10 more bhp, putting the K20Z at 220 hp.



However, given this difference, it's worth noting that the build of the engine is different too. I'm not an expert on these type of things, but my guess would be a lighter flywheel, a sport-tuned header, etc..

Lol, and on a side note, no matter how JDM you make it, your steering wheel will always be on the left..
