Does the jdm k20a need hondata or is the ecu it comes with already tuned for performance?

the k20a is tuned for performance its rated at 220 hp i think. you will only need hondata kpro if you plan on modifying the engine further because you will have to get it re-tuned for the new parts. parts that would require tuning are things like cam shafts or headers that delete you catalytic converter.Does the jdm k20a need hondata or is the ecu it comes with already tuned for performance?
You can run the OEM ECU for the K20a, however it will run just like a stock car. If you are planning on running an aftermarket intake, header, and exhaust, you will definitely get more out of the Hondata.

Also, when running the K20a motor you can run the OEM k20a3 engine and charge harnesses, but you will still need the conversion harness for you specific chassis:
