Has anyone ever had a problem with a jdm ordered transmission?

I ordered a jdm civic hx cvt tranny from jdm enginezone in new jersey, put it in and it appears the start clutch is bad. Has anyone else ever had a problem with the japanese transmissions and had to ship it back? If so did they charge you shipping back and forth a second time.|||Like any other used part, theres the risk it'll have a problem. Obviously you're talking about a CVT, and the start clutch is routine maintenance on those trannies. Honda sells a kit that includes the start clutch and a new updated TCM or PCM, depending on the year of your car.

You can try relearning the TCM/PCM, by unplugging your BACK UP fuse for 10 minutes, then with all electrical accessories turned off, drive the car up to 45 MPH, then release the gas pedal and coast for 10 seconds.|||I just wanted to comment that jdm engine zone in new jersey is a great place. The transmission they sent me was in perfectly good shape. The only problem was something i did. I highly reccommend them.
