What kind of jdm engine can really work inside a american muscle car?
i wanted to get a muscle car as a project car and to be different i was thinking about addin a jdm engine into it. but i dont know what would fit or work best in a heavy framed car. can someone help me.|||This was done for The Fast And The Furious Tokyo Drift, they used an RB26DETT (twin-turbocharged 2.6L inline-6, Nissan Skyline GT-R) in a '67 Ford Mustang Fastback. Really the sort of engine you want to use though is the 2JZ-GTE, the twin-turbo 3.0L inline-6 found in, most popularly, the Toyota Supra Twin-Turbo. The stock internals can withstand anything from 600-800hp without the need of strengthening and they have many many parts available to them. 1100hp drag Supras are very common.|||Although the inline six option is appealing, since so much tuning stuff is available, I think the big Nissan V-8 would be an easier fit and probably more rewarding to tune, because it's designed for low down grunt to move those big SUV's and pickups it would need at least a rechip - could be fun - easier to fit in the engine compartment, too.|||Mazda RX7 engine has been swapped into a few mustangs that I've seen.|||infiniti q45 motor, nissan 5.6 v8|||I would go with the third one!
