What's the 0-60, Hp and torq? (estimate)
Would a stock iroc camaro(if it were brand new) stand a chance in a race with it?|||your looking at 161Lbs of torque and 191 Horse but I believe both those numbers are AT engine numbers and not at the wheels, with just the stock engine and nothing else I would say you have extremely little chance in taking on just about any year Iroc (with the exception of the TBI's they were a little slow) the prelude is a lot lighter then any Camaro and I would need to know what year and engine option in the Camaro to really tell you how badly you would get beaten. If you are able to squeeze about 50 more ponies out of the motor and still keep the weight down I would say you have a chance against the 305 HO's and the 231 3800's, but if you are talking a 350 c.i. TPI or LS1 you better plan on opening up your check book pretty wide. If I were you I would spend time in proper tuning and upgrades that actually make a difference, don't waste yoru time on a perfromance muffler and a wing, instead invest in an electric water pump and maybe a turbo. In fact these silly aftermarket Fast and the Furious upgrades such as wings create down force on the wrong wheels and will actually hurt your 1/4 mile times, going to a large exhaust may do more hurt then good, make sure that if you enlarge your exhaust diameter, that it isn't by too large of a margin. Properly installed NOS is a deadly weapon and does very little to no harm to your engine, thisis the cheapest way you are going to get enough horse to try to play with the big boys and if you choose it, make sure you adjust yoru timing advance as well as install a heartier stabilizer.|||The JDM H22 comes 210HP stock, the type R 220HP the USDM is 190HP, so mister best answer is HORRIBLY WRONG!
The headers and exhaust will give you like 2HP extra, nothing too impressive... I just had to straighten this part out.
I own a JDM-H22 and a 92 JDM Honda Prelude. Trust me, I know!

|||aaron is right about the 210 on the H22A. Different compression ratio from the USDM engine. However I have never heard of a 220 A.
its NOT an expensive swap or an expensive Mod tree, thats what started the honda craze.
Just remember, no replacement for displacement.

|||I don't know much about Honda performance, but I thought the Prelude came stock with the H22. So swapping to JDM wouldn't help much. With headers and exhaust, maybe 220 crank hp? (I think stock is 200).
A stock IROC Camaro has 220-230hp (V8), would be a pretty fair race.|||yea im sure a h22 can take on a stock iroc camaro
